SEVENTYONE Premier Builds a Platform for Africa's Next Generation of Leaders
SEVENTYONE Premier is building a publication that treats African leadership as a subject worth the same editorial craft as any global title.

The gap SEVENTYONE Premier is built to close is not one of talent. It is one of documentation. African founders, designers, athletes, scientists and operators are doing serious work, and much of it is recorded — when it is recorded at all — by outsiders, in summary, and late.
An editorial standard first
The platform's premise is craft. Long-form interviews rather than press-release aggregation. Commissioned photography rather than stock. Fact-checking, editing and art direction treated as non-negotiable costs rather than optional polish.
If the work is world class, the coverage of it should be too.
Leadership, broadly defined
SEVENTYONE Premier's definition of leadership extends past the C-suite. It includes the designer shaping how a city dresses, the coach building an academy, the researcher working on a problem nobody is funding yet, and the operator quietly running a business that employs four hundred people.
Business, culture and fashion in one frame
The editorial position is that these subjects are not separate. Culture creates markets. Fashion carries politics. Business decisions shape what a generation can imagine for itself. Covering them in isolation produces a distorted picture.
Profiles as archive
Over time, the intention is that the body of profiles becomes a reference — a record of who was building what, when, and why, held in African hands.
Within the group
SEVENTYONE Premier sits alongside Nova Capital Holdings' other media and cultural interests. The group's role is to fund editorial independence rather than direct it, on the view that a publication's value collapses the moment its coverage becomes a marketing function.
