Prospex Is Building Technology for the Future of Sport
Prospex is a sports technology company working on the problem of discovery: how athletes are found, measured, compared and developed.

Talent identification in sport is still, in most of the world, an analogue process. A scout is in the right stand on the right afternoon, or the athlete is never seen. Prospex, a sports technology business in the Nova Capital Holdings group, is building tools to change the odds.
The discovery problem
Across African sporting ecosystems the constraint is rarely ability. It is visibility, verification and continuity — knowing that an athlete exists, confirming what they can actually do, and tracking them consistently over a career rather than a season.
Most talent is not missed because it is hidden. It is missed because nobody was recording.
Performance intelligence
Prospex's focus is turning raw capture — video, timing, movement, match events — into structured performance data that means something to a coach. Not dashboards for their own sake, but measures that inform selection, load and development decisions.
The digital athlete profile
A verified, portable athlete profile is the core primitive: identity, physical measures, performance history, footage and progression over time. Owned by the athlete, shareable with clubs, academies, federations and agents.
That portability matters most at the moment of opportunity, when a trial invitation depends on whether credible information can be produced in an afternoon.
Scouting at scale
For clubs and academies, the value is coverage. Structured data and filtered footage let a scouting operation review far more athletes than travel budgets allow, then spend physical time where it counts.
Analytics and management
Beyond discovery, the same infrastructure supports squad management: availability, workload, progression benchmarks and the administrative record that professional sport requires.
Why Africa first
The continent has depth of talent, young populations and rapidly improving mobile infrastructure — and comparatively little legacy software to displace. That combination makes it a strong place to build sports technology that is later exported, rather than imported.
Prospex's work sits alongside the group's other sporting interests, including athlete development and representation.
